Your Flavorful Adventure Awaits:
Day 1: Arrival in Guatemala City
● Begin your journey as you arrive in Guatemala City, followed by a private transfer to the
enchanting city of Antigua.
● Settle into the Autumn in Antigua B&B. Enjoy a welcome dinner and drinks to meet and
greet your fellow adventurers.
Day 2: Walking Tour
● After breakfast, embark on a guided walking tour of Antigua, taking in the historic
architecture and vibrant culture.
● Savor a traditional meal from local street vendors, experiencing the authentic flavors of
Guatemala.
● Enjoy free time to explore the town further, relax, or shop at your leisure.
Day 3: Artisan Adventure
● Travel by Guatemala's iconic Chicken Bus for a short ride to San Juan del Obispo.
● Participate in a Dye Workshop, followed by a tour of a Chocolate Factory and a tasting
of wine made from the local nispero fruit.
● Return to Antigua and enjoy the evening at your leisure.
Day 4: Village Immersion and Craft Exploration
● Travel to San Antonio for a Mayan cooking class, where you'll prepare and enjoy a
traditional lunch.
● Tour local weaving and pottery cooperatives, learning about traditional crafts.
● Return to Antigua and enjoy a relaxing evening.
Day 5: Market Day and Cultural Immersion
● Travel to Chichicastenango, with an enroute stop for an art tour in Comalapa.
● Enjoy lunch in Comalapa before continuing to Chichicastenango.
● Relax at the hotel and explore the town or unwind at your leisure.
Days 6: Market Treasures and Lakeside Serenity
● After breakfast, we will explore the famed Chichicastenango Market, a vibrant showcase
of textiles, pottery, and traditional goods—perfect for finding unique gifts.
● Travel to Lake Atitlán and settle into your accommodation for a relaxing evening.
Day 7: Village Tours and return to Antigua
● Tour local villages by private boat, including visits to San Juan, San Marcos, and
Santiago. Delve into the local culture and traditions of these picturesque villages.
● Return to Antigua and relax with a home-cooked dinner at the B&B, offering a cozy and
intimate dining experience
Day 8: Free Day and Traditional Celebration
Enjoy a free day in Antigua to explore at your leisure, perhaps visiting local shops, cafes,
or simply relaxing.
● Culminate the day with the 'Burning of the Devil' ceremony, a significant Guatemalan
tradition held on December 7th to cleanse the home and community of evil spirits,
marking the start of the Christmas season. Experience this vibrant and meaningful
cultural event firsthand.
● Celebrate the journey with a farewell dinner, sharing stories and memories of your
Guatemalan adventure.
Day 9: Departure
Enjoy a final breakfast before your transfer to Guatemala City Airport for your return flight home, taking with you cherished memories of your trip.
